Biography

A native of Long Island, New York, Vicki Roberts was a Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Municipal Court from 1984 through 1990 and presided over thousands of trials and related matters.  She has been a veteran civil and criminal litigator and appellate practitioner and a highly skilled and respected entertainment and talent representative based in Los Angeles.  She has appeared on television numerous times as a legal commentator. 

She is a contributing and named co-author of the book, Beyond a Reasonable Doubt Introduced by Larry King (Phoenix Books, 2006), ISBN # 1-59777-503-7.  She is also author of the book Bourgeois Poetry, which is an anthology of original poems (see Bourgeois Poetry page on this website).

Ms. Roberts has been playing the piano and writing music for decades in a variety of musical genres.  She has been a student pilot and has flown single engine Piper Cherokee aircraft.  She has traveled all over the world.

Recognized for her talent, dedication, and education, Ms. Roberts has also long been a supporter of animals and animal causes.  In November 2007 Ms. Roberts was named Celebrity Ambassador of the spca-LA for her tireless efforts on behalf of animals.  In 2011 she lent her support to a major campaign to save the world's dwindling population of tigers.

Ms. Roberts now resides in Palm Beach County, Florida, with her husband, Arthur Andelson, who is a disabled United States Air Force Veteran.  Together they take care of Ms. Roberts' parents.  Ms. Roberts' father is a disabled World War II Veteran of the Army Air Forces who was born on July 9, 1925.  Ms. Roberts wishes her father a very happy 98th birthday on July 9, 2023.

Ms. Roberts also wishes her parents a Happy 70th Anniversary on October 18, 2023. 

Ms. Roberts received an esteemed "Honorable Mention" for her original poem, Antietam, in the 2022 Society of Classical Poets International Poetry Competition, the results of which were announced on February 1, 2023. This is an annual competition for poets around the world who write metered poetry in the classical style, usually with rhyme.
